    Dr. Sung S. Shin is an associate professor at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, College of Veterinary Medicine, Chonnam National University. He received the DVM and MS degrees from Chonnam National University in 1983 and 1985, respectively, and the PhD degree (1993) in Veterinary Parasitology from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, U.S.A. His thesis research focused on the cellular immunology of leishmaniasis in mice. He is currently involved in the immunology and chemotherapy of canine heartworm disease, canine giardiasis, and fasciolosis in experimental animals.
